After eight or so years scouring the deserts, plunging the arctic waters, and fumbling through the forest mazes of the subconscious, these books were written; but the trade name, "Realm Crux" was conceived as a band name, initially, though the idea never manifested. However, the name still holds the same intent. "Realm" meaning a kingdom, domain, or sphere; that region of the mind, spirit, or intellect that becomes dull during our daily routines--our higher consciousness. "Crux" meaning an essential point or main feature. It is with these two words in mind that an idea hopefully plants seed, and these works of fiction and poetry will make it sprout.
This is the crucial moment; and where, where will it manifest? Right here...a realm crux.
The Things to Consider section as well as the Selected Poems page will periodically change, so keep checking back!
-The smaller the space you live in the larger the world outside that space.
-Do mental scars show as easily as physical ones?
-God’s math is so complex that it cannot be anything but Art.
-Pettiness is both the lash of the whip and the brush of a feather.
-Love is a continuous cycle of thanking the other person in different and new ways.
-At some point, inevitably, you run out of doors to open, leaving only the “out” door.

Thanks for stopping by, and remember this quote from Leonardo da Vinci: "Iron rusts from disuse, stagnant water loses its purity and in cold weather becomes frozen; even so does inaction sap the vigors of the mind."
We recently changed our "Things to Consider" selections and Selected Poems page. If you are interested in reading more passages from our "Things to Consider" just drop us a line. Don't forget to exercise your mind!
Realm Crux Books is pleased to announce that our Ordering Page is fully operational for ordering books through our website with links to our Amazon.com store, and their page where The Tale of Mu and Frog in the Pot are sold.
The launch of RealmCruxBooks.com is an exciting time! The "quotes" for the inaugural Things to Consider section were chosen randomly from a collection of similar thoughts, ponderings, and ideas that have yet made it into a book or poem (though some have). These are ideas that don't quite fit into the steady stream of prose and can be too abrupt in strength to fit the beauty of a poem. Some might say that these quotes, if one could call them, are poems. If anyone has a proper term for them please let me know. Thanks again for stopping by!
At Realm Crux Books we value the written word. Our goal is to bring the "literary" back to "literature." Too often, these days, we find books that are all plot and little substance. Here, you will not find titles that you see in the supermarkets and sitting as "wallpaper" on bookshelves. "But isn't that a bad thing?" you might ask. Like everything in this world, it's all relative. But think about this quote from Leonardo da Vinci, "Iron rusts from disuse, stagnant water loses its purity and in cold weather becomes frozen; even so does inaction sap the vigors of the mind." When one lets others make decisions for you it is letting your mind become inactive and turn to rust. Too many of us have sat listlessly on the couch and become a bug on the wall of our own lives. When was the last time you had to stop and digest what you had just read--a phrase, an idea, a sentence? Our distinctive and alluring titles blend genres and bend conventions; when you expect "air" you find "dust." You won't find pedestrian plots, like sitcoms and television dramas, or plots that make your skin fuse with the couch and your mind become a bowl of mush. With us, you'll discover an exploration of the spirit, or the will--the bare walls of your leisure room will become covered in grapevines, or will turn to a plaster of chalk that with one wrong breath will crumble. This is the crucial moment; and where, where will it manifest? Right here...a realm crux.
