Richard graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in English. There, he studied under New York Times Best Selling Author David Shields. He has traveled to France with his high school rugby team, and has been to Nicaragua, where he spent his time with three friends surfing, writing, and sleeping in a hut alongside scorpions and tarantulas. At the age of ten he named an elementary school, this was about the same age he began writing stories. Richard was born in St. Louis, Missouri, has lived in Connecticut, and now currently lives in Seattle, Washington. He writes right-handed, but eats with his left. One last note--he does not eat mammals.
